NIF
Nis Investment Forum - NIF aims to increase the level of investment in the Districts of Nisava, Pirot and Toplica through improving the image of the region, as well as the presentation and promotion of concrete, positive first-class business opportunities to potential investors from the country and abroad. In addition to large annual conference dedicated to promoting investment opportunities in the region, which is held every October in Niš, NIF is dedicated to organizing  regional events such as the Regional meeting of businessmen of Serbia - Bulgaria in Pirot as striving for the presentation of investment opportunities of each part of the region of Serbia.
NIF was created in 2008. as a department of the Center for the development of civil society PROTECTA which deals with the economic development of the region. PROTECTA is a non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Nis with local offices in Vranje and Pirot. PROTECTA implement its programs in four areas:
  • Decentralization and Economic Development
  • Promotion of the values of civil society and EU standards
  • Cross-border cooperation and sustainable development
  • Application of innovative models of social action in local communities
