District of Pirot

The District of Pirot is located in the southeastern part of the Republic of Serbia. 
It includes the municipalities of Bela Palanka, Pirot, Dimitrovgrad and Babusnica.
 
The total number of inhabitants in the region is 116,926.

The most important advantage of the District of Pirot is, in addition to its geographical position, of course that is located in the border zone, and that the city passes near the European corridor E-80. Traditional production exits in the textile and rubber industry. It is featured with natural resources in an ecologically clean environment (production of healthy food, clean water, hydro-potential of the Nisava river), particularly in the area of Stara planina. The characteristics of this region are world-recognized brands, "Pirot Lamb", "Pirot Hard Cheese" and famous "Pirot carpet”.

District of Nisava

The District of Nisava is located in the southeastern part of the Republic of Serbia.
It includes the following municipalities: Aleksinac, Svrljig, Merošina, Ražanj, Niš, Doljevac i Gadžin Han.

District area is 7292 km2.
District Headquarters in the city of Nis.

The District of Nisava has a favorable geographical position (the intersection of road, railway and air traffic), good personnel resources (the second largest university center in the country), long industrial tradition (machinery, electronics, textile), as well as various tourist attractions and sites: Niš Fortress, a memorial park "Bubanj", Skull Tower -historical monument from the time of the fight against the Turks, the archaeological site of Mediana from IV century BC remains of the residence of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great, who was born in Nis in 274 AD. Mediana is the remains of an imperial palace, with peristil of luxury villas with mosaic floors and frescoes (about 600 m2), with economic building with pitos, the remains of fortifications, tanks for water and other buildings, which bear witness to the wealth and culture, then Naissus. Special natural, medicinal and recreational facilities in the region are Niška Spa, Sićevo Gorge and Bojana waters).

District of Toplica

District of Toplica is located in the southern part of Serbia.
Includes the municipalities of Prokuplje, Blace, Kuršumlija and Žitorađa.
 
The total number of inhabitants in the region is 111,813.
District area is 2,231 km2.
District Headquarters is the city of Prokuplje.

Advantages of the District of Toplica are, above all, its geographical position, very good agroeconomic development (favorable conditions for the production of healthy food), developed wood, textile, food industry and metallurgy. This region has very high tourism potential - on its territory there are three spas (spa Prolom, spa Lukovo and Spa Kuršumlija). Also, the infernal city, one of the 50 wonders of the world by the choice of www.new7wonders.com, is located in this region, near the municipality of Kuršumlija. This natural monument consists of two, in the world of rare, natural phenomena: clay figures, as specific forms of relief that in the space of the very attractive, and two very acidic springs of water with high mineralization. The beauty of the two unseen wonders of nature complement the surrounding natural environment that the clay figures act sternly, almost mystical, and in the wider environment graphically and cultivated, as well as the remains of villages, old churches, cemeteries and a number of interesting mining pits.
